1) Right click on your wireless networking icon on the lower right of your XP taskbar
then left click on 'View Available Wireless Networks', you should see
a display like the one below.
2) In the display above, the computer is connected to 'Wireless1234',
a 'Secure-enabled wireless network'. This means that all
information transmitted to and from internet or to other computers cannot
be spied on by others. If you were connected to one of the other networks, 'linksys' or 'bobsnet',
anyone with a computer can read ANYTHING you send or receive or read EVERYTHING on
your hard drive or even delete EVERYTHING on your hard drive.
